No-exam life insurance
What the term means, which applicants qualify, how the process works, and what happens if one isn't available.
Many companies now use expedited underwriting: for applicants in the right age and amount range, they decide based on the application, med history, driving record, and other records instead of an exam. Some decisions land the same day. Each quote displays whether an exam is obligatory, possible, or waived for that product.
What it changes
Accelerated paths are still underwritten. They verify what you said, and a policy written on false information can be contested in the first two years. If red flags show up in data checks, the carrier may still order tests; you then choose what to do.
Who tends to qualify
Usually anyone under 60 or so, buying coverage up to the carrier's no-exam limit, with no serious medical history and no tobacco use in the past year or more. Some carriers will use recent blood work from your doctor instead of calling in an exam.
An exam usually means a 20-to-30-minute visit from a paramedic at your place or office around Folsom, paid by the carrier. Solid results often bump you up a class, so exams can work in your favor.
